KTB 50 EK EndSplice
The electric spot taping machine KTB EK Endsplice is based on the proven technology of the KTB E Endsplice. It is specially designed for integration into welding tables.
With the EK series, Komax is responding to the increasing demands of the automotive industry concerning the insulation of welded joints. The KTB 50 EK end splice, in particular, ensures the insulation of end nodes. In this process, a sensor checks whether the insulation is present to ensure reliable processing and enable efficient processing of critical cable cross sections. The required strip lengths are automatically transmitted by communicating with the welding machine, reducing operator influence and optimizing the manufacturing process. The handling of cables and welded joints is designed to be efficient and stress-free. The machine has an automatic display of maintenance intervals to ensure upkeep.
Space saving and compact
The shortened dimensions of the EK series, as well as the possibility of installing the control unit under the welding table, meet the challenge of acute shortage of space in production.

Tape consumption is optimized thanks to the programmable number of turns, contributing to the 80% lower material costs compared to heat shrink tubing.
Ensuring process quality
A built-in sensor verifies that the insulation is installed correctly. As a result, even critical cable cross-sections are processed efficiently.
